Where can a million dollars bring you the best travel experiences in the world? Of course, there is plenty to do in the United States. However, you could travel from coast to coast in the US and still have plenty of money left over for a global tour. If we had a million dollars to spend on travel, here's where what we'd do below.
If you have to spend 1 million dollars on your vacation and want to make it a memorable one, Dubai can be a fantastic place to start your journey. Start by booking your first-class ticket to Dubai for you and your partner. This will cost around $42,000 depending on when you book and where you are flying from. Now that you have the flight and accommodation sorted let's start planning your dream vacation!
First, treat yourself to a chauffeur-driven limousine ride from the airport. Then check into your suite, complete with concierge service, and order room service for dinner. Next, spend a week in the luxurious Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai. One of the most luxurious hotels in the world, and the second tallest hotel in Dubai, it's truly a sight to behold. Soaring 828 feet above the city, this sail-shaped tower offers rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows and private butlers, as well as breathtaking views of the Persian Gulf and Dubai skyline. The Burj Two-Bedroom Suite is a luxurious home away from home where you'll be treated like royalty, for around twenty-five thousand dollars, for seven nights.
With nine restaurants serving international cuisine, four pools, a private beach and a luxe spa, it has every amenity you need to have an unforgettable stay. Its glistening corridors are embellished with 24-carat gold tiles, its rooms offer beautiful views of the ocean and Dubai, and it comes with a private lift and cinema.
Head over to The Beach restaurant on the Burj Al Arab's private beach for breakfast overlooking the ocean during the daytime. Then, you can have your chauffeur drive you around town while you are out sightseeing or shopping. After dinner, enjoy a relaxing night in one of Dubai's many nightclubs.
You can spend a few days checking out other parts of Dubai. Or you can stay at another luxurious hotel on Jumeirah Beach or at one of the smaller hotels along Dubai Creek. Either way, you'll be able to walk to shopping districts, waterfront restaurants or camel rides on the beach. You can even rent a yacht for the ultimate Dubai experience!
Dubai is a traveler's paradise because it's one of the most vibrant places in the world. It offers a lot more than just the world's tallest skyscraper — from shopping, sports, and beaches to exploring history and culture, there are endless activities you can do here. Whether you stay for only a few days or several months, you'll be amazed at how much Dubai keeps on changing.
Your next stop may be as far away as you like or as close as your backyard. With a million dollars, you can travel to any place globally — From Paris to New York City or Bali to Singapore. However, if you want to go further than the typical tourist bucket-list destinations, consider adding spots like Australia, Iceland, or Bhutan, to name a few.
So, by now, you may have spent around $200,000 on the flight, the hotel, some high-end shopping in Dubai's luxury malls and maybe you opted for a yacht rental. However, your million-dollar trip isn't done yet, so where do you go next?
